As part of the National Women鈥檚 Month celebration, the Gender and Development Resource Center (GADRC) led the activity dubbed as “Alay Lakad Tungo sa Kaunlaran ni Juana” to strengthen, inspire, and empower women and girls to be agents of change, and promote gender equality and women empowerment in the University.
Dr. Hernando D. Robles, University President, said that CvSU strongly upholds the rights of women and lauded the Gender and Development Resource Center for continuously conducting activities that promote women’s empowerment.
Meanwhile, Dr. Mary Jane D. Tepora, Officer-In-Charge, Office of the Vice-President for Administrative and Support Services, commended the Gender and Development Resource Center on arranging the event. She stated that the university is supporting all of our institution’s efforts not just for the physical but also for the emotional, social, and psychological well-being of the Juanas.
Before the Alay Lakad commenced, a warm-up exercise was led by the faculty members from the College of Sports, Physical Education, and Recreation. The Alay Lakad Tungo sa Kaunlaran ni Juana started at the University Athletic Field and ended at the Agri-Eco Tourism Park.
